| Bill and Katherine Rountree of SilverJack
IronWorks were honored to have been chosen to compete at the 2003 Western
Design Conference in Cody, Wyoming.
Prior to the expansion of SilverJack IronWorks in February 2004, the
Rountrees worked with artist Pat Fillman of D
Bar X Lighting and they entered their designs under that name.
The trio of artists entered two original pieces in the competition held
Sept. 23-27, 2003. Shown at right are some photos from the 2003 show. They
entered the "Cody Cattle Drive" chandelier featuring an offset
cattle drive scene complete with real western brands, and the
"Crystal Peak" chandelier which features silhouettes of all the
animals native to North America on the slopes of a mountain topped with
real crystals.
The Cody Western Design Conference features western fashion designers
and craftsmen and runs concurrently with the Buffalo Bill Art Show and
Sale and Patron's Ball as part of the week-long "Celebration of the
Arts in Cody, Wyoming." It is a juried show with a number of
prestigious awards available and there is a lot of competition to be
chosen to participate.
